The first episode in ESPN’s series Year of the Quarterback aired last night on ESPN at 7:00 PM ET. The film follows Tim Tebow from the end of his college career to the start of his NFL one. It documents a lot of the major events that happened in between: the Senior Bowl, picking an agent, the Super Bowl ad, the Combine and the NFL Draft.
Only Gators has a great review of the episode – you should head over there to get the in depth recap.
I do not know if it will be for sale yet on DVD. ESPN does put their 30/30 episodes for sale, so there’s a chance we might get the 50 minute Tebow episode, plus some bonus footage.
If you happened to miss it last night, ESPN will be replaying it over the next few months. Just check your TV Guide listings. Here are the next few airings.
Friday 1/7 @ 5:30 PM ET on ESPNU
Saturday 1/8 @ 9:30 AM ET on ESPNU
as a florida gator fan i loved the show it shows how tebow is not all about football and he cares about people. hes not like more then half the players in the NFL that just care bout money and hoes.
also he said on espn first take that he wants to show kids that if people say u cant do some thing dont listen to them and never give up
Check this out! Behind the scenes with Tebow miked up in the Texans game. Saw pieces of this on the Denver news but not the whole thing: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/09000d5d81d4ddd8/Sound-FX-Take-a-Te-bow
Awesome documentary on the most awesome young man– He is the total package and we are so proud of him!
it was great! I can’t wait to watch it again! Keep it up the hard work Timmy! Hope you’re starting next year!

@robert: Elway immediately clarified his remark & denied any interest in trading Tebow via Twitter:

@Brooke what is he going to stay yes were in talks lol no he cant throw tebow under the bus
EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN was awesome . iam sure that most football players work out very hard–but i have never seen anyone so passionate and dedicated as tim is. i only hope that that program gives some hope to some young person or any person of any age that you can do anything you just need that passion. iam sure that this has generated on someone and has lifted them in their life i know it has mine. thank you tim tebow for you thanks to your mom for choosing life and bringing such a inspiration into this world. GO GATORS ALWAYS WILL BE A GATOR FAN. I ONLY WATCH THE BRONCOS NOW BECAUSE TIM PLAYS. MY HUSBAND AND STEPSONS ARE AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN BRONCO FANS. GO GATORS GO TIM
Yeah..go to nfl.com now. Top news says that Elway has completely shut down all of the rumors that Tim will be traded. It seems to me that Elway is a firm believer in what all Tim can do!
My 96 year old grandmother was featured in a part of this documentary. She was so excited to see that they include her in this soecial about Tim. Although I am Georgia fan myself (sympathy is greatly appreciated!) my grandmother thinks Tim “hung the moon.” Thank you Mr. Tebow for the joy you have brought to my grandmother, and congratulations to you on choosing to allow your character to rise above, and influence others for the greater good of our God! Many blessings to you and your family.
tebow did okay, but well see next year, itd be nice to see him take over on another team, i think broncos need more than a qb to be good, and if they dont work on that then TT might play his heart out but lose out on playoffs due to his poor team. And then the haters will be out just because he didnt go 16-0 into the post season. He’s a baller but he needs a team. too bad
what is the music during the part where he is throwing for pro scouts called/?????
Great Documentary about Tim! I was pumped all day at work with anticipation for when I could get home to see it. He was and still is just being him, and no one can take that away from him either! Tim, You’re an inspiration to us all! Thanks to you; your mother too by the way, when people talk about Florida Gators your name will always come to mind above all else and will be permanently embedded into people’s minds as the Tebow era being the best era of Gator football history! So glad to see him succeeding in the Pros as well. I may be a Titans fan, but I will ALWAYS be a TIM TEBOW fan!!
@Johnt: Your Gandmother isn’t the only grandmother that thinks Timmy hung the moon. When my husband saw her on the doc., He looked over at me and said, “There you are.” I said, ” I am not that old.” But my husband said that when I am, I will still be a Tebow fan. I’m 62, the grandmother of two beautiful boys and I hope they grow up to be the kind of man Timmy is. I also hope to live to be 96 so I can see them grow up and see all of Timmy’s career, as a football player and in his ministry that he is striving so hard to create with football as his platform. Timmy has the greatest Coach first in his life and with Him (Phil.4:13), he can do all things- even get the Broncos, as bad as they are, back on the road to success. GB2
I watched this from beginning to end. I felt as if Tim represented CHRIST and football very well.
By the way, PLEASE stay with the Broncos, we need you and Love you Tim.
As an Auburn alum and all around supporter of football in the great State of Alabama, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the Tim Tebow episode on ESPN. He is an inspirational athlete yet his character is the most impressive aspect of this young man. He has been blessed with incredible talent and I wish him continued success in all areas of his life.
