Thanks to a misinformed Peter King broadcats and article over the weekend, a lot of rumors started flying about John Elway not thinking Tim Tebow is a good quarterback and that the Broncos might try to trade him.
John Elway, the Broncos Chief Football executive denied that he ever said that. Elway tweeted, “To clarify my thoughts on Tim Tebow… I think he’s a very good football player, and if anyone can turn themselves into a great quarterback, Tim can.” He further said “Any speculation that the Denver Broncos are considering moving Tim is completely false.”
There’s no denying the Broncos have a decision on their hand – do they keep Tim Tebow as the quarterback of the future, or do they move him to a new team? I think the next head coach of the Broncos will have a lot of say in that decision.
Ultimately, I believe Tebow will be a Bronco in 2011 … I’m just not sure if he’ll be the starter on opening day. The team might elect to keep Orton around and develop Tim further.
Tebow will start and, if they draft and trade well for key player needs, the Broncos will begin to succeed. I think letting Tim play is the best way to help him get better. Watching Orton does nothing for him. Maybe watching Tim will do something for Orton, if Orton’s still there.
Denver needs to wake up and realize Tim’s value. He’s a once in a lifetime talent. He will be an elite QB in the league. He’s that determined. Send him to Dallas… Romo will never get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl, Tebow can!
