The Denver Broncos have fired head coach Josh McDaniels after just two years of service. Running backs coach Eric Studesville will serve as interim coach for the final month.
“My decision to relieve Josh McDaniels as head coach was not taken lightly. I will always be appreciative of his passion, enthusiasm and hard work, and I thank him for his efforts,” Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said in a statement.
With Josh McDaniels out of the pictures, the big quesiton on everyone’s minds is: How will the affect Tim Tebow? There are two things that could happen.
1. The Broncos will now make a move to Tim Tebow at quarterback. This will give them 4 games to see what he’s made of. Does he have what it takes to be a starting QB?
2. The Broncos will keep Tebow on the bench and then let their next head coach decide what to do with him. A coach like John Gruden would love to have Tebow, but a more traditional coach like Jim Harbaugh might now.
What do you think will happen to Tim Tebow the remainder of the year now that McDaniels is gone. Remember, it was McDaniels who pushed so hard for the Broncos to draft him in the first round.
I don’t even know what to say…hope Tim finally gets his chance!
Trading all those draft picks for a QB project should have gotten him fired.
This is the NFL, teams kill for 2nd and 3rd round picks
I so loved every bit of this site and I’ve bookmarked your blog to keep up with the new topics you will post in the future.
Do yourself a favor and get out of Denver Tim. Ask for a trade now. why isn’t the two time National Champ, Heisman Trophy winner, and NFL leader in jersey sales not starting?
Denver is a log jam. This situation can be solved with the old Bob Seger song. “Get outta Denver Baby, GO”
Urban Meyer is on his way….new things coming.
I don’t think Denver is looking to hire a college coach. It saddens me that Meyer is leaving. I just hope he takes Adazzio with him. I am concerned for Tebow’s future in Denver. This had proven to be an unsettling week for Gator/Tebow fans, to say the least.
