Champ Bailey is a corner back for the Denver Broncos – he’s arguably the best CB in the league and one of the most respected players on the team. When Champ talks, people listen. Following Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals, Bailey was asked if it is time for the team to start Tim Tebow at quarterback. He responded:
“That’s not my decision to make. I just hope, at some point, I can play with him. We’ll see how that goes.”
Is he eluding that Tim might not start this year? Could he be hinting that Tim might not be on the Broncos next year?
With a new regime coming in during the off-season, the entire team will be evaluated and the new coach will have no ties to Tim Tebow and won’t be required to keep him on the team.
Really interesting article to read on.. I’m really amazed with this article. Looking forward for future posts.
Champ is in the last year of his contract & contract negotiations w/the Broncos broke down earlier this year. So Champ’s actually implying that he’s the one that likely won’t be w/the team much longer, not Tim.
Yep–what Brooke said. Which would be a bummer too–Champ is one of my favorite guys on the team. Check out this link to a good Lombardi article and watch the CBS sports video to right–it was on local TV last night. Interesting what the players say…
