Pajo The Denver Broncos host their division rivals the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at 4:05 PM EST. The game will be aired locally throughout the Midwest/Colorado area on CBS. Despite playing the game in Denver, the Chiefs are still 1 point favorites to win the game. The Broncos are 2-6 and need a win in the worst way.
The Denver Broncos are coming off a bye week, so they should be healed up and eager to play. Many people, myself included, thought Tim Tebow might be given the starting quarterback job after the bye week … due to the teams struggle as a whole, not necessarily due to the play of Kyle Orton.
Coach Josh McDaniels’ head coaching seat is getting warmer and warmer with each loss. There’s talks be may get fired after this season if the Broncos don’t turn it around. Josh put a lot of faith into picking Tim Tebow with a first round selection. He’ll have to get the QB more playing time as the season moves on or he’ll have to face an owner wondering why the team selected Tim in the first place.
I have all the confidence in the world that Tebow can be a star in this league at quarterback… he just needs to be given the opportunity to show what he can do. Tim has yet to throw a pass in a regular season game and I doubt he’ll be given a chance to start until he gets a few reps.
The Chiefs have a stout defense, giving up 232 yards through the air and 98.4 on the ground. Tim might be asked again to come in on a goal-line play.
I think this is going to be a great, hard fought battle … perfect television viewing. And even better for those of you in the stands!

Stat wise, he needs to get into the game 1st.
I think that if/when McDaniels is fired after this season (and after going 0-6 to finish last season coupled with the debacle that is the Broncos’ 2010 season it’s looking more and more like when than if) it’ll be interesting to see what happens with Tebow. Orton is proving to be a better QB than once thought and is a “prototypical NFL QB” there’s still many coaches and people around the league who don’t believe Tebow is cut out for the NFL. If the Broncos have a new coach next season it will be interesting to see if they try to transition Tebow to the much discussed h-back position or even tight end or keep him at QB and let him compete for a starting job. After trading up to get him at #25, the owner isn’t going to let him ride the pine forever and you don’t spend a 1st round draft pick on short yardage plays and goal line situations, especially if you traded up and sacrificed other draft picks to gain said 1st round draft pick.
Some of you people are truly amazing. I wonder where you get your information, First of all Mcdanials isnt going any where secondly Tebow is a quarter back not a tight end or running back; he will play quarterback for the Denver Broncos when it is his time to play quarterback he was drafted as a franchise player meaning they want him for the long haul and no they are not gonna bench a quarterback that is setting the world on fire just because we want to see Timmy start
