The Denver Broncos (2-4) look to get back on the winning track this weekend. Denver will host the Oakland Raiders (2-4) Sunday afternoon at 4:15 PM ET. The Broncos have had a tough little stretch the past four games having played Indianapolis, Tennessee, Baltimore and the New York Jets. I’m not saying the Broncos will just walk all over the Raiders, but it should be an easier matchup that what they’ve seen the last month.
Last week vs. the Jets, Tim score his first NFL touchdown. It was the first time he had been involved in the game since week 1. You know it was only a matter of time before Tim Tebow saw more gametime – in today’s NFL teams just don’t spend millions on first round picks and not let them play.
McDaniels said the Broncos hope to begin expanding the use of rookie quarterback Tim Tebow. The first-round draft pick has yet to throw a pass but ran for 23 yards and his first NFL touchdown last weekend.
“We’re going to continue to push that a little bit and see what happens with it,” McDaniels said. “Now, everybody’s kind of seen us do different things from it and we’ve got to try to find a way to be creative and see how far we can take it and continue to make it productive.”
Depending on how the game goes we could see Tim Tebow throw his first pass this weekend. Denver will have to let him throw or teams will know he’s going to run the ball every time he gets in.
Denver is a 9 point favorite and the over/under is 41.5 points. I’m predicting a 24-14 Broncos win. Tebow will be 1-2 passing for 14 yards and he’ll rush the ball 4 times for 22 yards.
What do you think?
Tim should definitely play vs. the Raiders this weekend. I live in Nevada so they didn’t show the game against the Jets on my local station. I wish I could’ve seen Tim get his first NFL touchdown. Well, actually, it’s his first regular season touchdown. He got a few in the preseason. Those don’t really count though. I checked, and the upcoming week 7 Broncos game will be shown so you can bet that I will be watching it. I think that Josh McDaniels should put Tebow in the wildcat three times. Once to pass and the other two times to run. I’m glad that we were able to see him last week but one week of action just isn’t enough. I think that McDaniels should put him in on at least three or four plays per week. I heard a rumor that since Orton’s contract ends in 2012, he might be leaving. That will be two years that Tebow will spend on the sideline. Until then, I know that he will learn the Broncos offense to perfection, and will mature and become a great NFL player.
This game is going to be a turning point for someone due to the HUGE point advantage racked up by the Raiders!! Definitely painful in terms of what should have happened for the Broncos as the Raiders were equal in games with wins vs losses (2-4), as stated previously above. That being said, it is probably more than time for The Denver Broncos to use some creativity with plays designed for Tebow!! Just maybe they will have a better opportunity to win if that happens!! Sans any more injuries too!!! The next game will be played in London which, hopefully, will be a much needed win for the Broncos! GB2/TEBOW/GATORS
I like the post is a good work that it can offer more effective imformation for us!
