Tebow and Broncos Are Close

Reports out of Denver are that Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos are close to signing a contract… ideally Tim would like to get into camp by the weekend. But – I guess we never know how long agents will negotiate with the teams.

It’s being said that Tim’s agent Jimmy Sexton is trying to get Tim more money than the number 24 pick in the draft (Tim was the 25th pick). Generally a player receives slightly less than the player picked ahead of him, but Sexton is fighting for more money because of a premium that is placed on quarterbacks. I think it’s funny that Tebow will enter camp as the #3 QB on the roster but will be paid more than Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn (probably combined).

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels wants Tim in camp ASAP… each day Tim is absent is a small set back in his development. “We went through 60 pages this morning in an installation meeting, and those pages are filled with information,” Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said. “It’s not that we aren’t going to go back and review that. We will. I think that any opportunity to get in more, particularly a young player, whatever position it is; whether it is a quarterback or something else, I think it helps them.”

Let’s hope something gets done today or tomorrow so Tim will be ready on July 31.

You know Tebow is gonna give most of that cash to charity anyways, paying him less is like taking away from poor kids. For awesome news on Tebow check out the Tebros on facebook!

    Tim,
Your agent works for you, not the other way around. Sign your contract and get your butt on the field.
