Football trading cards are very popular – not like they were in the 80s and 90s – but people still like to collect. I found this interesting picture / photo and thought I would share it. Someone purchased a couple of packs at the store and found an autographed Tim Tebow trading card (print #142 of 199). Awesome find right?! The card is stamped with “Press Pass”.
I did a little research online before posting this – I wanted to know if the autographs are real. After looking around, you can see that Press Pass cards are pretty expensive for a pack and they do a lot of college player cards. Some of the boxes say like “7 autographs per box”. If you think about that plus the possible #199 Tebow card options I think it’s safe to assume that the autographs on the cards are not “authentic” – as in Tebow didn’t sign the card. It is how his autograph looks, but it’s printed on there just like everything else.
Still, the card is pretty cool!
The caption for the photo reads:
Saturday was Little Lucas (mMmmm garlic sauce) and then we went to Lefty’s to pick up a box of cards. Ed let us all open the packs and guess who got the signed tebow card!? Well… Ed got it, but I opened the actual pack, heh heh. Flip that now

Is there any cards about Tony Romo? I would like to collect cards for both Tebow and Romo. Thank you.
The autograph is authentic/hand signed. I’ve been collecting Broncos autographs for years & the card pictured is authenticated on the back as a hand-signed card. I have roughly 40 Press Pass authentic autographs & over 600 auto’d Broncos cards. Waiting & watching on Tebow cards right now, as the prices on E-Bay for his cards are through the roof!!!
I agree this point.
