Don't hate Tim because everybody falls over him. Look at him for what he is. A great, down to earth humble guy and a great football player. And maybe you should inform yourself a little. An average qb? Geez how many records did he break this year alone? The young man is remarkable. I think that the media has tried to make a mockery of him. I hope he isn't too upset by the events of the last two weeks. The good always wins in the end. If you look at college football for 2009 objectively, who has meant more to his team, who has been a better roll model, and if you compare McCoy's stats to Tebow's, Tebow wins with only 5 interceptions to 11, and 31 touchdowns to 30. I thought the Heismann Presentation Show was a disgusting example of ESPN and the media's love of Texas, The Pac 10, Big 10, Big 12 and Mountain West conferences. For whatever the reasons, the gator haters out there can't see the forrest for the trees. They just don't want to acknowledge the Greatest Of All Time in college football. If I can establish an award for Tebow, I would name it "Hope Award." Tebow deserves every credit from "unparalleled accomplishments and charisma have transcended the playing field, capturing the imagination of both young and old" quoted by NFF Pres & CEO, Steven Hatchell when Tebow received the Campbell Trophy. Here is why… I'm a single working mother of two boys not from Gator Nation but from Big Orange. In August, I was diagnosed with cancer and facing the surgery hopefully to remove all the cancer cells on Sept 9. I turned on TV and started watching FL games with my boys while being in pains and being anxious about my future. It didn’t take me long to get my attention on Tebow for his determination and big heart. The bible verses on his eye black touched my heart and started inspiring me from week to week. My most favorite was one vs. Georgia, Philippians 4:6-7. While he was battling on the field, I was battling with the cancer. Also his 2008 speech after the Ole Miss loss promising " A lot of good will come out of this" came to my mind one day. Every time I watched Tebow's game, there was a HOPE. Then I started believing that I was going to win over my battle. Three months have passed… Here I was last night… when watching the Heisman Award presentation, I looked back the journey I went through and was so grateful now to celebrate my cancer free! I tell you this… God bless all of us. Who inspired and made me believe? It's Tim Tebow, #15 Florida Gator!! Thank you, Tebow for another great season and HOPE.
