First I want to apologize for not getting this recap up sooner. I was on vacation for the holiday weekend and am just now booting up my computer. I was able to watch the Florida vs. Charleston Southern game on TV Saturday… while it’s upsetting the Gators didn’t cover the 73 point spread, I still love what I saw out of them :-)

As expected the Gators came out firing, going up 42-3 at the half. In the first half of play, Tim Tebow was 10-15 for 188 yards and 1 touchdown. He also rushed the ball 2 times for 1 yard and a touchdown. I was a little off from my prediction last week, but still a solid performance by Timmy. The Gators ran the ball a lot and had some huge gains, so they didn’t really need Tim to throw the ball down field.

Coach Meyer only played Tim and most of the started for the first half of the game. You saw what happened to Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford right? That’s why Meyer elected to limit Tim’s snaps to only the first half.

Here’s a great game recap video. It starts out with like 1 minute of fan predictions, then gets into a recap, followed by a post-game Tim Tebow interview
