Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators delivered a crushing blow to the LSU Tigers in Gainesville on Saturday night. It’s the type of offensive performance Gator fans have been waiting for all season. Not only was the passing game clicking on on cylinders, but the running game was explosive.
“This game we had to pass to set up the run. Usually we run to set up the pass. It was a great job by all our guys, especially our little backs who came in and ran well.”
Tim Tebow finished the game 14-21 for 210 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown. The one play where Tebow almost threw an interception, the ball was tipped right into the hands of Percy Harvin and he took it the distance for a 70 yard score.
“It was a great win for us. We knew it was a big game coming in. LSU is a very good team. We wanted to start strong and we did that. They rallied back and made it a game, but we responded with maturity and took over at the end.”
The Gators are off this week before they have their Homecoming against Kentucky on October 25. Expect this team to be re-energized after the huge win over LSU. If they win out they could very well be in the national championship game this January.
