Pajo I thought it would be a good idea to post some of the questions we receive about Tim Tebow here at Tebow Zone. This way all the fans can benefit from the answers. I don’t claim to be Tim Tebow, or even know Tim Tebow… I am just a UF Alum and big fan of Tebow and the Florida Gators.
Today’s question comes from Michael in Miami, FL.
Some people say that Tim Tebow stated that he would not go to the NFL because he wants to work in the church. Is this true?
I’m not sure who is saying this, but I would say with 99.9% positivity that Tim Tebow will enter the NFL Draft in 2009 or 2010 and join an NFL Roster. While Tim Tebow is a follower of Christ and does a lot of work for the Church, he realizes that God gave him the talent to play football at a high level. Tim uses football as a means to help others (like the charity powder puff game he organized for charity).
The years an athlete can play a sport at a professional level are very limited, and you have to take advantage of it if given the opportunity. It is very possible that some day after football that Tim Tebow will work with his Church and do missionary work just like his mentor/friend Danny Wuerffel. But you can say with certainty that Tim Tebow will go to the NFL after his college career.
