With Oklahoma beating Missouri for the second time this season, Chase Daniel is all but eliminated from the Heisman race. Daniel played horribly, throwing for 219 yards and 1 interception. He got exposed.
Now it seems like the race is down to Tebow and McFadden. Pat White may have had an outside shot, but he got hurt in the West Virginia loss yesterday.
Seems how the Heisman is usually a regional vote, it’s nice to see that the top two candidates are from the SEC. There won’t be any west coast or east coast bias. Voters will have to vote on who the most outstanding player is, and in my mind it’s clearly Tebow. McFadden only had 3 good games all season. Granted those three games were just sick, but still, the Heisman is required to perform consistently over the entire year. That is something Tebow did.
The Heisman award is announced on ESPN on December 8th.

Unfortunately, Chase Daniel is removed from the Heisman race, but there is more to it than just the loss, and its that oklahoma defense. note the speed off the edge, the ability to return to the middle of the field/fast linebacker play. This is the type of defense Tim Tebow would have fits with (like with Georgia), and the type of defense that he will more than likely face in a bowl game. Moreover, that interception was not Daniel’s fault (off the hands of Martin Rucker who is usually sure handed). Moreover, we’ll see how tough he is when he has to play with a broken hand (there is no way he’s 100% by a bowl game in january, I dont care what the doctor’s of the university say…of course they would say that).
Yes Tim is a soph. but he did something no one else in trhe history of the NCAA did, he rushed for 20+ and passed for 20+ touchdowns, he rushed and passed for a touchdown in every game, and yes his team lost 3 games, all to nationaly ranked SEC teams, two of which are playing in BCS bowl games, one for the national championship. Therefore I can only say Tim Tebo deserves the Heisman!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June Jones’ comment was mis-interpreted by the media in regards to Tim Tebow. He believes so much in Colt Brennan and rightfully so. the media and Tim Tebow needs to stop reading into it and Tim needs to stop taking it so personal. Also, espn.com had a comment on their Heisman Watch section about how Tim Tebow is somewhat of a system QB.
I think the heisman is pretty much locked up for Tebow i mean look at Chase Daniel he was embarassed by the sooners, colt has the easiest schedule out there and a dozen million pics, mcfadden just is overrated if he doesnt win it every person who voted will be a disappointment
