Imagine a league filled with dozens of Tim Tebow’s. Nah… that won’t ever happen. There’s only one Superman and he plays for Florida. It’s no surprise that the Old Ball Coach wouldn’t mind having Tebow on his roster, he’s the “type of quarterback everyone is looking for.”

In a recent article, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier was quoted as saying, “He doesn’t miss many open guys. If they’re open, he doesn’t zing it 5, 10 yards over their heads.”

“He’s made some unbelievable plays when they’re not open and guys are hanging all over him and this, than and the other. So he’s, sort of, the quarterback of the future.”

The quarterback of the future he says! Spurrier has dealt with some amazing college quarterbacks over the years, so we’ll take that as a compliment. I wonder if QBs like Tebow will be the wave of the future. No more drop back passers like Leak? Only duel-threat QBs will be drafted by the top schools. Look right now, Dennis Dixon and Tebow are probably the best two QBs in the country.

Think about it.
