The Florida Gators’ SEC Championship hopes are still alive thanks to their win over South Carolina on Saturday. Tebow shined like the star that we make him out to be, and proved to all the media that he is still a top Heisman candidate.

“That’s an honor any time your named with that award,” Tebow said, grinning from ear-to-ear. “But I’m not going to worry about that.”

Tebow accounted for seven touchdowns, two passing and five rushing, and 424 total yards (304 passing and 120 rushing). During the game he passed Emmitt Smith’s record for rushing touchdowns by a Gator in a single season. And I think Tebow is only a handful of rushing touchdowns away from setting the NCAA record for rushing touchdowns in a single season.

Tebow 42nd touchdown of the year also broke another record on Saturday…total touchdowns in a single season in the SEC. He surpassed Danny Wuerffel’s SEC record 41 touchdowns set in 1996.

Timmy put on a game performance that could make your mouth drop. He made the South Carolina defensive line look like a bunch of walk-ons. He is a phenomenal player that the Gators are very thankful to have playing on their side of the ball.
